Group support can offer something different from one-to-one support. It can create space for shared understanding, connection and learning alongside people who may have similar experiences.

ARC’s NDIS peer groups are facilitated with care, respect and lived experience. They are designed to support connection, participation and personal growth without pressure to share more than feels right.

You can take part at your own pace, in ways that feel safe, respectful and meaningful for you.

Referring someone to an ARC peer group

Support Coordinators, Local Area Coordinators, clinicians, families, supporters and service providers can contact ARC to ask about NDIS peer group availability and suitability.

When making a referral, it can help to include:

      • the person’s contact details
      • their NDIS plan information, where relevant
      • the group or support they are interested in
      • their goals around connection, participation or wellbeing
      • any access, communication or support needs
      • confirmation that the person has consented to the referral

ARC offers both group-based peer support and one-to-one Peer Support.

NDIS peer groups may be helpful if you are looking for connection, shared learning and support alongside others.

One-to-one Peer Support may be more suitable if you would prefer individual support focused on your personal goals, routines, confidence and connection.

If you are unsure which option is right, you can contact ARC and we can talk through your options.
